Philadelphia, PA--(HISPANIC PR WIRE)--January 27, 2006--Joseph Carrillo, the young and multi-talented professional who led from the operational side the national representation of the Hispanic print industry in the U.S. through a successful tenure as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the National Association of Hispanic Publications, Inc. (NAHP), is beginning this week as a new Hispanic Newspaper Executive with the AL DIA team in Philadelphia.

Mr. Carrillo is a graduate from the prestigious Georgetown University, in Washington DC, where he excelled in many capacities as a student leader throughout his collegiate career. Following his graduation, he joined the National Hispanic Press Foundation as a Program Manager. After only nine months at that position, he was appointed as the Interim Chief Operations Officer, and, quickly after, as the Chief Operations Officer of NAHP, Inc.

From that position, he successfully organized and managed the 2005 NAHP Annual Convention in Philadelphia, which attracted hundreds of executives from the vibrant Hispanic Print industry in the U.S. Prior to that accomplishment, he was also responsible for the execution of the very successful “Hispanic Print Boom” Summit in Miami, the 2004 Newspaper Advertising event that brought together the best minds working today in the largest and most influential Hispanic newspapers in the U.S. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Carrillo was also responsible for the effective administration of the National Office in Washington, DC and oversight of the National Office staff.

"I am looking forward to getting hands on experience running one of the elite Hispanic publications in the country. This is a tremendous opportunity to gain new insights into the burgeoning Hispanic Print Media market. AL DIA's commitment to excellence reflects my own values and make it a great organization to join," stated Joseph Carrillo.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Carrillo to the AL DIA team. We are confident that his talents and abilities will be a positive addition to our organization. With his strong management background, and his fresh and creative approach to our business, we are looking forward to developing new and exciting opportunities for our organization and the communities we serve," said Hernán Guaracao, Publisher of AL DIA, Inc.
