THE
NEW YORK TIMES “HOLIDAY MOVIES” SEES 35% INCREASE
IN AD PAGES
NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2006
-- The New York Times announced today that its upcoming annual
“Holiday Movies” section has a total of 46 advertising
pages – a 35% increase over last year’s section. “Holiday
Movies” is published nationally and will appear this year
on Sunday, Nov. 5 in the Arts & Leisure section of The New
York Times.
Advertisers in Holiday
Film Preview include: 20th Century Fox, Buena Vista, Fox Searchlight,
MGM, Miramax, New Line Cinema, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Warner
Independent and The Weinstein Company.
“‘Holiday
Movies’ continues to be an effective marketing platform
for studios to promote their upcoming holiday films and to help
drive moviegoers’ attendance during the important winter
season,” said Virginia French, group vice president of advertising
for The New York Times.
In the U.S., The New
York Times reaches 17.3 million unduplicated readers via the weekday
