Paw Prints
The Magazine announces increased public place circulation and
a national launch in 2008.
KANSAS CITY,
Missouri (January, 13 2008) – Paw Prints The Magazine was
started in May 2004 by Dale and Stacy Smith; its focus was to
inform and entertain local Kansas City, MO Metro pet owners. The
magazine reached its goal; Paw Prints The Magazine has over 100,000
readers and its print runs have ranged from an initial 25,000
to as high as 40,000.
2007 saw the
magazine take a hiatus in production. In January 2007 Dale Smith,
the publisher, was diagnosed with stage 4b cancer of the head
and neck. The Magazine has always been predominately a two person
operation, thus the hiatus. Dale is now cancer-free and Paw Prints
The Magazine is gearing back up. The new launch will see some
changes with the magazine. Paw Prints The Magazine is a free monthly
tabloid distributed in over 650 locations in the metro Kansas
City area. 2008 will see metro Kansas City distribution increase
to 700 plus locations & will have single copy circulation
in all medical offices in the seven county metro. Paw Prints The
Magazine also has entered into agreements with 25 metro KC hospitals
to donate copies of the magazine for every waiting area in the
hospitals. With the new public place circulation the magazines
readership will exceed 500,000 readers per month.
In addition
to the metro circulation, Paw Prints The Magazine will launch
nationally. Paw Prints The Magazine will be mailed to approximately
25,000 veterinary offices throughout the 50 states. Paw Prints
The Magazine also plans to add circulation and distribution in
pet-friendly hotels throughout the nation; this should be accomplished
by mid 2008. The magazines will be made available to guests at
the front desk, in breakfast or common areas and in some cases
as a guest room item, depending on the hotel chain.
Travelers
to the Kansas City Metro will already find Paw Prints The Magazine
in over 50 hotels, motels, and B&B’s. Early 2008 Paw
Prints The Magazine will be found in pet friendly Days Inn properties
in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Louisiana,
Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas.
The magazine's
contents will still include true-to-test product reviews; celebrity
interviews; medical, health and nutrition issues and the most
comprehensive calendar of events ever seen. The magazine is adding
a travel section and much, much, more.
