Sales rep needed for new magazine for marching band participants

Halftime Magazine, a startup publication by Muse Media, LLC, is seeking an advertising sales rep. A 20% sales commission will be offered.

Halftime Magazine highlights the sights, sounds and spirit of marching bandSM from the perspective of high school and college musician-athletes. Premiering in July/August 2007, the bimonthly print magazine and interactive website enhances marching participants’ love of music and performance by providing education, entertainment and inspiration.

Major advertising categories involved in marching band include:
• Music instrument manufacturers
• Music accessory manufacturers
• Music retailers
• T-shirt imprinters
• Festival/travel organizers
• Uniform manufacturers
• Music- and drill-writing software

Other major teen-oriented categories include:
• Beverages (soft drinks, energy drinks)
• Entertainment (TV shows, movies, targeted websites)
• School-oriented gear (class rings, letter jackets, backpacks)

Skills and experiences desired:
• At least three years of advertising sales experience, preferably selling consumer ads related to the music products industry as well as teen-oriented publications.
